The cool thing about Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile is its prime location near Michigan Avenue and the Chicago Riverwalk, making it convenient for exploring popular attractions and shopping destinations.
When I got to the property, the desk clerk said that she saw no record of my reservation. I showed her the credit card statement that showed that I had paid $440.96 for the room. She said they had no record of my reservation. She said the property was sold out and they could not accommodate me. She brought in her manager who said that I had been scammed by a look alike website and she was sorry about that. She said that she would accommodate me, which gave me tremendous relief, as it was 10:00 PM and I was exhausted from traveling. She put me in a very small room with one bed but the room was clean and, at that point, I was grateful for the room. The hotel was so crowded that the next morning, I stood in line for 15 minutes for breakfast. Next time I visit Chicago, I will stay somewhere else. Too many people.
Great location. Clean room with good beds.
The heater was so loud we got no sleep and there were bugs in the bathroom.
Staff was outstanding the room was perfect. Everything was more than expected. Thank you!
