I stayed here with my Niece for a staycation, as she was excited to have room service and swim. Everyone that we encountered took such good care and made her feel like she was a princess and this was her castle. Really appreciate the staff helping me find things as well.

Unlike other Fairmont properties where service has gone down with new ownership in the past decade, the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald has maintained excellent service with staff who have remained with the company to date. The renovations to the rooms are a very welcome upgrade. Public areas are stunning and still capture the old CP Rail feel of old despite the facelift. Gardens are stunning, you can’t go wrong overlooking the Edmonton River Valley.
