Property Description
The Stavrand offers guests a secluded, yet completely convenient setting in the redwoods of the Russian River Valley. The property spans nearly 6 acres and offers three guestroom buildings, including an historic Spanish Revival mansion from 1922. Completing the set, a modern take on a barn building forms the fourth side of an elegant center courtyard. In total, the Applewood offers three outdoor venues and two indoor settings for events ranging in size up to 130 total guests. The new owners (who are applying 14 years of training with Kimpton Hotels) are currently overseeing a full renovation of the physical facility as well as guest amenities and services to elevate the property to a new, luxury level. The atmosphere will remain relaxed and welcoming, in the style of authentic wine country hospitality -- with a chic twist. A full rebrand and renaming of the property is well underway, with a online bookings set to launch in early June, with an opening date of early August. Emily and her team are currently accepting bookings for groups and events for the full year ahead. Off-season room rates (approximately November through April) will provide the best discounts with rates from $375/night + tax. The team coordinates all event rentals for each occasion for a fair price, and the on-site chef provides menus to suit a range of tastes. The size and character of the property make it equally suited to weddings or corporate events. The sun room or dining areas function beautifully for meetings, retreats, and trainings, so the property needn't be restricted to brides! The Stavrand's ideal location near the river and pedestrian bridge provide guests a 10-minute pastoral stroll to Guerneville's Main Street. To kick off their evening, guests will enjoy a manager-hosted evening reception from 5-6pm, with a complimentary treat from the Chef, who prepares elegant tasting menus with available wine pairings for a memorable dinner experience.
