It was a wonderful experience to travel back in time and relive lodging on the Mother Road. Beautiful cabins, our room had all the charm of yesteryear but all the convenience of home. Great staff with a welcoming atmosphere.
It was so nice to be able to park right by your door and walk into your room. Rooms are small, but very clean, comfortable beds, great bedding and toiletries too. Lots of choices for breakfast in the small motel lobby. It was fun to stay at a motel on Route 66. Would definitely stay there again if we are traveling in the area.
We enjoyed our stay. The pool was clean and quiet. Loved finding thus little gem in Springfield.
The reviews were all ranked as very good. When I saw it, I raised my eyebrow wondering what I was getting myself into. The motel has been around for 90 years. It was nicely remodeled. It was clean. The staff were WONDERFUL. The advantage of pulling up to your door to unload is priceless. The beds, pillows and room were very comfortable. Nice breakfast. My husband and I will definitely stay here again!
A full, hot breakfast is complementary for all guests daily from 6am to 10am. Items included are biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, make-your-own waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, bagels, yogurt, coffee, milk, juice, hot tea, and a bistro machine with flavored cappuccino and hot chocolate.
Parking is in front of rooms, we do have bus parking on the lot for two buses max, and do not allow semi trucks on our lot.

I was traveling with dogs. This was an excellent property for dogs. Rooms on the first floor that you drive up to with a large grassy area on the other side of the parking area. The pet rooms are on the backside of the property. You can hear street noise when out with the dogs but not from inside the room. The air conditioner worked great.
Comfortable clean Check in clerk was pleasant. Shower?? Weird and outdated..lol Was a good stay.

An excellent place to stay.
If you get your kicks on Route 66 but don't want to sacrifice comfort and convenience stay here. The hotel staff and management have done a great job preserving the charm of this historic property. Among the classic cars, gas pumps and signs are comfortable beds, compact modern appliances and a clean room. The furnishings were classic but in good repair. The rooms are original and well in good shape. The staff were very neighborly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was good, nothing fancy but well prepared, served in a roadside diner decor. I enjoyed my stay despite a slight plumbing hiccup (stopped toilet) which was attended to immediately. It is an older property after all. I like visiting these gems of the past without worrying about sub standard service. I frequently stay at Best Western hotels because I am guaranteed comfort, cleanliness and excellent service.
