Staff working hard to keep this antique hotel up and running, Food was also exceptional! And those boat captains This is a must do experience!
Lovely, historical, Old Florida complete with Alligators! Went here as a student in the 70's. So nostalgic for me!
The staff was very friendly, the food at the lodge was amazing. Enjoyed the boat ride. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time. The restaurant at the hotel was cheaper than the nearest Mexican restaurant. The staff was friendly. The water and boat tour was fantastic. Only one tiny incidental thing happened. The third day of our stay one member (Xavier) wouldn’t allow us to have any straws or tops to our drinks saying this was a state park. We had them all week and even the people sitting outside in the snack area had them both. We just said “ok” but how odd and random. I guess we didn’t look trustworthy enough to properly dispose of our trash but hey if that’s the worst thing that happened then fine. We even found out we stayed in the most haunted room after! So much fun.
What a fun place! The spring is beautiful, boat ride was amazing and the wildlife put on a fantastic show.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The historical hotel was clean and in great shape. We enjoyed the marble floors and brass doorknobs.
Can't sum this up in a few words. Warm, hospitable, paradise..
Enjoyed the stay and history surrounding the site.
Very enjoyable stay. Accommodations and food were amazing.
The hotel is a blast from the past! The history of the hotel and the area is fascinating! The hotel is retro, beautifully maintained and the food is good. Nice place for renewed marriage vows or just a romantic getaway!
Great staff, beautiful place, super beds and good food!
Met family members for a reunion. Really felt like we were back in the 1930’s. Restaurant served delicious meals and servers were very good. Had a great time and it was so interesting to see where the movie "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" was filmed.
