InterContinental Mark Hopkins by IHG
The cool thing about InterContinental Mark Hopkins, an IHG Hotel, is its central location in San Francisco, making it convenient for exploring popular attractions such as Grace Cathedral and Lombard Street.
While the Mark Hopkins is less than it was in its glory, it remains elegant and proud. The Top of the Mark does not disappoint with 360 degree views, tasty drinks and bar food. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and food good. Towels are fluffy. The location is ideal for being away from the bustle of Market St but easy access to everywhere. It is old. The lobby and check in show their age but beyond that, I loved it.
Great location, friendly staff, somewhat limited food services.
My son gave my wife and I a weekend in the city which included the stay at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins. It was a wonderful experience from the doormen to the room service maid. She was tipped on the spot for her attention to detail. The doormen, Beluga, and friend were delightful. A wonderful experience in the cleaned up version of San Francisco.
The rooms and are clean and fairly spacious. The bed is very comfortable and bathrooms has all the necessities.

Everything was lovely, but I would have liked to checkout via the TV screen, rather than in person at the desk. I do not stay at Intercontinental enough to warrant downloading the app.
As long time resident of San Francisco who dined and danced at the Mark, the hotel has remained a gracious and elegant San Francisco land mark. My recent visit was lovely in every way. Staff very professional and accommodating. I will be back, I hope!
Great hotel, great location, good rooms.
all great stay.
We had a wonderful time at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental in SF during Thanksgiving Week. The staff especially Chef Concierge Ric Lee and front desk master David were knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Others were great too, from the housekeeping staff to the doormen. Our room was large and comfortable with great views. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you all!

Any rejection is manually checked and, if maintained, notified to the reviewer by email with reasons. We do not otherwise process changes, nor reviewer contact. We de-list reviews after 4 years, other than for properties having a non-significant number of reviews.
