I scheduled and prepaid for two nights at the Troutdale Comfort Inn using an online site. I reserved a room for myself and another for my sister and brother in law. We planned to make the four 1/2 drive from Coos Bay where they live (and I was visiting from Colorado) to Troutdale for the weekend to see relatives in the area. Unfortunately, I got a severe case of food poisoning on Friday and spent all afternoon and night deathly ill in my sister's bathroom. I was not well enough to travel on Saturday and my sister called to let the hotel know we weren't coming. Since I didn't make the reservations directly with the Troutdale Comfort Inn, the manager, though very sympathetic, was unable to refund me the cost for the two unused rooms for Saturday night. The policy is to notify the hotel 48 hours in advance, but I only got sick 24 hours ahead. Since I prepaid for two rooms, this was a significant amount of money to lose. The manager told me to contact customer service to request a refund for the unused rooms on Saturday and they could call her to confirm she was in agreement. I am pleased to say that I received a prompt response and was told they would grant me a refund. According to policy, they did not have to do this for me. I am very grateful for their kindness and quick response. I will definitely stay at this lovely hotel on future visits to the area. I am very impressed with the Troutdale Comfort Inn manager and the folks at Customer Service.
I’ve stayed at this hotel a handful of times as it’s near family. I’m always blown away by the cleanliness and uplifting hospitality of staff. Clean entry, clean rooms. Fresh lemon water that’s always filled and cold. Halloween candy (free) and full size candy bars for purchase. Laundry facilities work and are clean. Front desk staff is always friendly and thankful. I’ll always come back.
We went to a sold out venue and luckily, we stayed here at the Comfort Inn. Room was clean and very much needed after a sweltering evening at Teddy Swims concert! Hot and tired, we fell into bed for a restful sleep. All the staff were very nice and accommodating. Hot coffee and a warm breakfast is always a plus. Thank you for your services.
My husband and I were very satisfied. We will definitely stay here again.
