We stayed one night and overall greatly enjoyed the experience. We love historic places and this Inn fits that bill! Would recommend trying it out. That being said, it is limited in some modern amenities such as early morning coffee (before 7 a.m.) and the early breakfast is limited in it's offering until 9 a.m. Bathroom showers need safety bars (at least ours did not have any) and more than one thin bar of soap for two people! Deserving of four stars!
Santa Maria Inn---Facilities are spotless, rooms are large and comfortable. Staff are kind and efficient. The historic building is beautiful and well maintained.
we enjoyed the limited time that we had there. We wished we were able to enjoy the brunch that was ONLY served on the weekends maybe next time when we travel up north. The hotel is a gem for the City, you would think the City would keep it in prime condition. Should be a budget for that, know where I lived, we lost a very valuable home because of lack of fund and it was a shame. Maybe JUST MAYBE the State of California could help in someway. It's really has a lovely history. Praying for the place.

I hated my stay, every day I was at the reception complaining about something. Broken bedside lamp, slow water flow in bath tub, switch to the fan not working. Everything looks old and tired, from faucets in the bathroom to furniture in the room..
This is a beautiful historic hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean. It was quiet. We ate dinner at the Hotel and it was excellent. Great place to stay in Santa Maria.
