Decent place to stay. Location is great for events at the Sabres rink or Riverworks as they're both walkable. Southern Tier Buffalo is located on the 2nd floor which with a reservation(which you will 10000%need) is great.
Every single staff person was excellent, personable and knowledgeable. The hotel itself is very nice and very well appointed. Great hotel.
