It was a great stay! The front desk was so friendly and accomodating and the room was great, only removing one star because my wife did find that a previous guest did leave cases of non alcholic beer in the closet of our room.
When I initially made my reservation, the booking system automatically changed my selected room from a King bed to a room with two double beds and accessibility features. I promptly contacted customer service, who informed me that they had reached out to the hotel’s front desk. I was assured that the reservation on the hotel’s end reflected my original request for a King room and that I would not encounter any issues upon check in. Later, I contacted the front desk to inquire about the possibility of an early check in. I was informed that I would need to call on the morning of my arrival to check availability. I followed this instruction, but when I called the next day around noon, I was abruptly told that an early check in could not be accommodated. Although I had only hoped to check in slightly early—perhaps two hours before the standard time—the call was ended before I could clarify. Upon arrival, I was informed that there was no record of my room change request and that I had been given incorrect information. As there were no other rooms available, I had no choice but to accept the room provided. While the room was clean, it was uncomfortably warm upon entry. Additionally, the elevator doors closed very quickly, posing a safety concern as guests were frequently struck by them. We did require assistance from maintenance for the room temperature and I want to commend the technician, who was courteous and helpful. At check in, we requested and were granted a late check out. However, on the day of departure, we experienced repeated knocks on our door and received a call from the front desk stating that we had missed our check out time at 11:15 AM. We explained that we had arranged a late check out, but once again, there was no record of this in the system. Overall, the lack of communication between departments and repeated discrepancies in the reservation system led to a frustrating experience. I hope that these issues can be addressed to improve future guest experiences.
