Coming to Springfield to see Lincoln Memorial. Looking for something local with a bit of flavor. I got flavor, OK. Just not sure it was as expected. The building is 110+ years old originally apartments. Converted to hotel at some point. At 3:30 and later check in time, there was a single person on the desk to receive, confirm reservations, assign rooms and take each person to their respective rooms. Several waited for her during this four 6PM period. She was pleasant, doing her best but understaffed. We were assigned a three room, third floor, suite for $200 a good value. The floor in the halls was so noisy with each step I made as to make me concerned that I was disturbing other guests. The coffee was great after it arrived and the breakfast well done. Overall, it was not bad just not what I expected.

This was our first time staying there and it was awesome! Our room was super clean and comfortable! We liked the balcony outside our room. Carrie was very informative and helpful! We enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies at night! Also we were impressed with the breakfast! We definitely would stay again!
