We were headed to Tahoe in bad weather and decided to book a room instead of continuing on. Lucky we did as Hwy 80 ended up being shut down and people had to turn around. We were safe and warm at the Red Lion. Betty at the front desk was amazing. Truly the idea of hospitality as she secured two rooms next to each other. She was patient and kind as people started to line up behind us. Our only complaint was the train horn that woke us a couple of times throughout the night; but that was no fault of the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was a nice surprise. Much needed coffee and yogurt and fruit for me while the kids enjoyed waffles. Thanks so much Betty and the rest of the staff at Red Lion. Well Done!
The room was beautiful and very clean. It also had a refrigerator and a microwave, which I didn’t even know that it came with it, so that was be even better.
