This is our third trip to Edisto Beach for a family camping trip. My wife and I wanted to break up the 8-9 hour drive so we picked this hotel since it was right off I26 and had restaurants within walking distance. The room is very nice and the lady at the front desk was very helpful with the check in process. Parking area was also large enough to park with our camper. Very nice location. Will keep it on our list for future visits.
We stayed one night in this hotel while it was majorly under reconstruction. No one alerted us that this was going on and we were caught unaware. The front desk which had plastic hanging down all around it said the traditional breakfast wouldn't be available because they didn't have a working kitchen then so a to go bag would be provided with either a pop tart or muffin. Only one elevator was available because the other one was for construction workers only. We stayed in a room that had obviously been remodeled. The furnishings were sparse; no coffee maker, no cups, a plastic bowl with no lid for ice. We heard a loud noise and assumed we were near train tracks, but it was the air conditioner. We stayed in a suite and when we tried to turn the overhead light off the switch didn't work and the light stayed on the entire night. It was very late to ask for a different room so we had to live with it. The next morning no one was at the desk and there certainly weren't any "bag breakfasts" so we left. We paid full price for the room which included breakfast and it was a terrible experience. Even after reconstruction is complete, the integrity of honestly delivering what they promised wasn't there and we would never stay here again.

Bed needs new mattress, chair needs to be replaced. No grab bars in tub/shower area.
I booked to stay a Country Inn and Suites where I stayed for the several years through their website but in actuality it’s the Orangeburg Inn. The rate sheet I signed was a lot lower. I was disappointed that the advertisement was false because I did not stay at a County Inn and Suites by Radisson. Plus they didn’t have a hot breakfast as advertise but gave a Brown Bag with a muffin, food bars and a water. I was totally disappointed!
