Sustainability highlights at 1 Hotel West Hollywood include: • LEED for Existing Buildings v4 certification in progress, targeting Silver Certification by early summer 2019 o First LEED-EBOM certified hotel in LA under the v4 rating system • Energy Star score of 95, one of the most energy efficient hotels in Los Angeles • Smart irrigation sensors to determine when the soil actually needs watering, rather than watering on a schedule. Drip irrigation used over conventional irrigation to reduce overall water demand. • Plumbing fixtures meet LEED requirements for flow rates. • Smart zoning of air distribution system (air-conditioning and fresh air) to ensure our guests are made the most comfortable in the most efficient manner • Floor to ceiling windows to increase the use of daylight over electric lighting • LED lighting installed throughout guest rooms and common spaces • Simplified, reduced finishes, such as the brushed concrete.
