The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our Guest room was very fresh, furnished with hair dryer, ironing board and iron and coffee maker. Breakfast was adequate. The property is convenient to dining and to the naval station. It's my go to accommodations when in Portsmouth.
Need to invest in better mattresses ours was too soft and lumpy. Bath mat was disgusting. Curtain would not shut. Had to use hair clip to provide privacy. Had we not prepaid we would have left. Was not notified when reservation booked that we were going thru Hotel Planner, which cost us more money.
I had a very nice stay. Employees were very friendly.
The building is old and the rooms have been painted over many times. The heater rattled so loud I thought the motor would fly off. The water tasted aweful, even as coffee. The breakfast had no protein. But everyone was very nice and friendly and that meant alot.
