My friend, Cynthia Green Stanley, reserved the room via her credit card on Thursday, March 2oth. After she and I settled in around 8:30 p.m. I entered the bathroom, I was alarmed to see a large flying cockroach in the bathtub. Immediately, I called the clerk and 10 minutes later, a maintenance personnel did locate the cockroach under the sink and killed it. Of course, we refused to bathe in the tub after that incident. We only stayed in the hotel that night for approximately 4.5 hours due to my friend,Cynthia became sick and was reported to Emory University ER Unit via ambulance. I, Diann, immediately packed our bags and checked out to go to the hospital. I did share with the night clerk, Nicholas Newby, that I felt Cynthia should be compensated by Courtyard Marriot due to the cockroach and us not staying the full Thursday night. I called Courtyard Marriot on Saturday after lunch to share the incident and personnel, Henry, stated that Cynthia would be charged only $99 for her room instead of $204. I asked him to email me the compensation statement in writing via my email dladydii60@ yahoo.com. I have not received the email. Diann Fye Friend of Cynthia Green Stanley.
