Visiting family in the area, we arrived early Sunday afternoon and were able to check in (not always the case). Comfortable room on the front side of hotel, facing downtown. Some snow flurries later in the day and howling wind: no problem for this hotel. Weather conditions got worse overnight and into Monday and Monday night: continuing strong winds and blowing snow. Just normal for Boone, but not normally around Veterans Day. We’ve stayed here about six times over the years; nothing with this visit changed our minds away from this property!
Hampton Inn and Suites, Boone, NC is EXCELLENT! We stayed for three nights. The breakfast was wonderful and the room was clean.
Quick check in, nice breakfast, good TV, good food.

Nice, quiet, clean hotel.
The good: excellent room, clean, with a nice view and amenities like a mini fridge and posh shower. The hotel breakfast and coffee were also fantastic. The employees are very friendly and hospitable. Not so good: the A/C seemed to struggle a bit to cool the room and we turned it all the way down to 65. It is also difficult to make a left turn out of the hotel parking lot due to Boone traffic, so we had to turn right and turn left at a restaurant to drive toward ASU. It got even worse when nearby Watauga High School dismissed. Overall, a wonderful stay!
