First time staying at this hotel and love that we can walk to and from Otto's! and the distillery.
The room and common space were well kept. The free breakfast was as expected, adequate but not exceptional. The exercise room was kept at an uncomfortable 74F with no towels or water. My major issue was with the booking process. I used the Fairfield website to make my reservation thinking I was working directly with the hotel. It turns out that it was a disguise. Instead, the website was operated by Expedia. Unknowing, when asked to prepay for my reservation to obtain the "best rate", I went ahead and prepaid for the four night stay. While traveling, one of my traveling co workers had his credit card hacked so I agree to cover his expenses for the trip on my card. That's when I learned that my bill was over $400 more than what his non pre paid room charges cost. In addition, the hotel was unable to credit me for checking out one night early since I prepaid. The hotel informed me that I'd have to file a dispute with Expedia. Obviously, left me in a bad mood sicne I had no idea that I was working with Expedia. This all felt dubious doubt I'll be using Fairfield again even though I'm a Marrott member.
