Staff were pleasant and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is within a brief walk to downtown shopping and there are restaurants in the hotel. My favorite place to stay in Nacogdoches.
Everything was great! Did the bar, attended a party, breakfast was awesome. Overall a very pleasant experience! Highly recommend.

We were in town for the SFA Scholarship Night for one night and decided to extend our wedding anniversary! Our child started school there last fall and the Fredonia has been on my wishlist for a long time. My wish came true this past week! The room was very nice and very clean. All I can say is maintenance (not housekeeping) is lacking. The elevator ceiling had water stains, the corners of the elevators on the floor had dirt, dust and trash in them. Our windowsill in 501 had rust stains all across. The toilet was crooked from the wall and our knees hit the door. We did our homework on the history of the place. While having drinks at the bar, my husband asked the bartender about the tree used for the tables and he knew nothing of the history of the place. The ice machine on the fifth floor did not work so we had to go to the third floor as the third floor did not work either. Overall it was a nice stay. We assume the hotel does not want guests spending too much time in their rooms as there are no chairs and nowhere to relax and unwind. It’s like the rooms from before were cut in half to make two rooms out of one. We will stay again, we will just be sure to look for different accommodations. The price was way too high for what we got! Why only one robe?!
