The Lafayette a grand Riverboat Era Hotel
The Lafayette A grand Riverboat Era Hotel offers a unique experience with its historic charm and riverboat era theme.
Very Good
Close to the interesting things downtown. Ask for a Riverview room. Can walk to Peoples Bank Theatre. Great atmosphere. Beautiful lobby.
Check in: Very easy Room: Very quaint and clean. Enjoyed how you kept the historic decor. Housekeeping: The room had plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper. We had an emergency late in the evening and asked for two more towels and washcloths at the front desk. We were very grateful that the front desk person immediately obtained the towels and didn’t tell us to ask housekeeping in the morning. Overall, our experience was very delightful. Our plans were cut short, but we plan on returning back in a few weeks.
Love quaint old hotels. The charm of old historic hotels lies in their sloping floors, Victorian decorations and unique rooms, all while offering the same amenities as newer hotels.
For guest staying Sunday through Thursday nights our rates include a Traditional Breakfast. This includes two eggs any style with choice of bacon, ham or sausage. Also includes hash brown or home fries and a choice of toast or English muffin. Weekend Rate does not include breafast, however there are different options available at an additional cost per person.
Wi-Fi available through out the hotel at no additional cost.

Love the riverboat theme and the beautiful antique furniture. Staff was pleasant and personable.
The hotel was interesting to walk through. We liked our corner room, we had a very nice view of the river. Free breakfast on weekdays which is a plus.
Without all the amenities of a modern hotel, the accommodations were what we expected of this historical structure.
Friendly staff and beautiful accommodations. The bar and grill on site has delicious food. Loved being close to the river and a walking path.
Very good accommodations.
Nostalgic, good food, clean room. Staff friendly, great complimentary breakfast on weekdays.
Nice location with plenty of history. A good effort was made to please visitors, which was much appreciated.
This may not be a five star hotel, but it does have a five star location, a five star staff, and a five star history. It only lacks in luxury. Bathroom was tiny but shower was very practical and nice. Room was small but adequate. We would stay here again.
The staff is always friendly. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Five Stars
I love this hotel! Our first visit was over 50 years ago and it's taken awhile to get back. Retirement has helped. Lol! They are always so busy. I guess that's why they've been around so long. ❤
I loved the hotel and everything about it. There was so much history to see just in the hotel!
