There were two problems with my stay. First, the TV channels were numerous, although, generally, not useful. I was not interested in almost all of the TV programming. The substantial problem was the omission of local sports channels for the Chicago Cubs (Marquee) and Chicago White Sox (Chicago Sports Net). I have stayed at other hotels in the Chicago area and they have had these channels. Why doesn't Holiday Inn Downers Grove?.

All the staff are pleasant and helpful. Brenda greeted us with a hug when we arrived (this was our 3rd stay in 6 weeks). Cecilia works the breakfast area every morning and she keeps everything stocked and clean. The hotel is working on completing their renovation and I was surprised that there wasn’t much noise from their work. The rooms, halls and lobby are kept clean and clear of any debris. This is our go to hotel when we travel to Chicago area.
