If you're looking for deluxe accommodations, look elsewhere. But if you just need a place to rest you achy bones after a long day of doing your thing, then look no further. I've been staying at the Carson Motel 6 since BEFORE it was Motel 6 more than 20 years, in fact. If I'm honest, the first few years were a bit hit or miss, but the convenience and price were right. When the management changed a dozen or more years ago the convenience/price stayed great, but the overall experience went WAY up! The entire complex was completely renovated, resulting in truly clean, comfortable and safe accommodations. It's the only motel I'll stay at when I'm in the South Bay area and it's the only one that I recommend. highly.
The bed was comfortable. There was a bad odor in our room. They sprayed it with an odor killer, but it returned almost right away. There was a microwave and refrigerator in our room, but no table and chairs. You can warm up your food, but can't sit down to eat it. They only clean the rooms every three days, but the first time they didn't make the bed, sweep the floor or do any other "cleaning". They only brought fresh towels. The next time, the maid did come in and clean. Management did tell me if I wanted a table, I should have paid more for a suite. It was a very frustrating stay. We've stayed before and been very satisfied, so was extra disappointing.
The room was pleasant.
