I was recently in San Antonio for the Men’s College Basketball Final Four National Championship Game on 4/7/25. I was supposed to arrive on Sunday 4/6 and checkout Tuesday 4/8 but Mother Nature had different plans. Due to torrential rain/wind, I was grounded in Atlanta for over 24 hours with the last flight cancellation at 0100 on 4/7. I phoned the Aloft San Antonio Airport Hotel directly and spoke with a helpful woman, telling her I would be there sometime on 4/7. I finally arrived at the hotel around 1300 on 4/7 and was greeted by Denise. There was some computer glitch as expected and she discussed the matter with Manager Tony. I explained what happened and showed him my phone recent call list which listed my nighttime conversation with the hotel. I had only slept for an hour. Although a room was not immediately available, Tony and Denise were very understanding and empathetic and got me into a beautiful room (536). I was able to grab a quick nap, shower and meet my friends on the Riverwalk for dinner and the big game. Best of all, my Florida Gators won the National Championship. Although the travel was difficult, I was truly “saved by the staff” at Aloft San Antonio Airport. Tony and Denise are true professionals and are excellent representatives of the company. Please thank them again for me.
The staff was nice. I did not like the hotel at all. There was a weird smell in the hallway. The restroom was not clean. The sliding door to the restroom was not fully attached at the bottom. The hotel looks clean on pictures but in person it is not the same.
