I was surprised that this “hotel” has exterior hallways, more like a motor inn, which inherently made the room colder (I stayed in January and could see light around the door). However, the heater worked well and the room was very clean. The bed was firm and the shower had plenty of pressure, although its hottest temp might not be hot enough for some people (it was perfect for me). The highlight was the unexpected balcony and beautiful view. I chose the top floor for maximum quiet, so I had a gorgeous view of the canal and surrounding townscape. It was lightly snowing and scene was magical. I will definitely stay here again.

Rooms were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our view was gorgeous. We had asked for a room recommendation for a room with the best view. Our check in clerk, Rowan. made a suggestion. Loved her! Why do I say this? Because we stayed Thursday night with a reservation and then we were so happy there we came back, without a reservation, on Saturday night. She said "I checked you in before, didn't I?" Wow! What a memory! I don't want to say anything negative but I want to say the cooked breakfast offerings, potatoes and sausage, were overdone. I enjoyed the omelettes. There were plenty of choices beyond the cooked items I mentioned.
We enjoyed our stay. Staff was excellent. The condition of the property was very clean.
