"Comfortable friendly convenient relaxing"

This was our first time staying at Highland Inn. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The Lodge was comfortable with a rustic feel.The grounds were nice. The food at the Season's restaurant was wonderful. The location to activities such as hiking to waterfalls, shopping in downtown Hendersonville, visiting apple orchards was very convenient. It was a pleasant stay.

Great amibiance. If you missed out on summer camp in the 80s, this is your chance to see what it was like. Would be great fun for groups. Lake with kyaks, fishing, paddle boat, swimming. Large lawn with volley ball, horse shoes, corn hole, swings, hammocks. Outdoor swimming pool. Excellent restaurant. Great service. Lots of stuff nearby too. Biltmore, Asheville and local restaurants, shops, etc. Pet freindly rooms available. Our dog had a super time! Our room is called a cabin with a fireplace. It was the larger half of a duplex. Walk out onto porch with a swing. Several houses are called Cottages. There are rooms too, but I didn't see those. Interesting plants around the 16 acres. If you want a polished, modern newer place, this isn't that. It actually was a summer camp at one time. Lots of walking to do if you like. It's a scenic hike a quarter mile or so to the lake. No lake view from accomodations but it was worth the walk to see it.
