Carbon reduction: Accor – Fairmont’s parent company – was among the first signatories of the Glasgow Declaration for Climate Action in Tourism and offers a carbon footprint calculator for events held at Fairmont Palliser. Food and Beverage: Fairmont Palliser owns 2 honeybee hives and harvests annually 80kg of honey which is then used in our F&B offerings. Additionally, we reduce food waste by for instance cross utilizing food items in different outlets, ordering only what we need, using excess food in soups & stocks and using green bins for composting. Plastics: We removed all guest facing single use plastic items at the end of 2022. Our Starbucks has already started serving dine-in drinks and food on reusable foodware. Misc: Bi-Annually Clean Up for Fairmont Palliser's section of the Trans-Canada Highway Fairmont Palliser is a 4 Green Keys Property.
