"The experience we had will ensure that we will return"

We were married in the Repunsel room in 2009 and celebrated our first anniversary in the same room in 2010. October 22nd 2025 we celebrated our 16th anniversary. Each year that we stayed at the Hume Hotel we were treated like family by all of the staff at the Hume. The food in the Library and the Grocery Store was fantastically delicious, the portions were generous and still left us wanting more. The service in Mikes pub was very friendly and efficient despite the three levels. We were so glad we decided to listen to the bands in the Spirit bar as they played their own music and sounded fantastic. For us Nelson would not be the same without the Hume Hotel, we can’t thank everyone enough for a very memorable and comfortable stay and we are looking forward to staying at the Hume Hotel in the near future. Thank You again for the great hospitality ❤️.

Our experience was terrific! The staff brilliant, helpful and cheerful The meals in the library room were delicious. We recommend the hotel, a perfect home away from home and a great way to explore nelson and surrounding areas.

I am so inlove with The Hume after our stay this past weekend. I find hotels are not meeting standards these days but this one was fab! Jeanine and Gigi at front desk treated us so well and the room was so clean and well cared for! I almost didn't post because if its too popular it might not be vacant for our trip next year! Seriously decadent!

We stayed in the Rapunsal room. We ate almost everything on the menu and relaxed. Went golfing. Had a great time! Everyone was so professional especially Dara at the front desk. Cleaning staff and everyone we met. Thanks for taking care of us.
