The Aloft Cleveland Downtown hotel offers a variety of amenities including a bar/lounge, parking, gym, restaurant, spa, WiFi/Internet, pet friendly, laundry, non-smoking rooms, breakfast, air conditioning, 24/7 front desk, business center, and meeting rooms.
This is not a very visitor friendly hotel. Confusing process to get checked in and parked. We met a couple who were not sure of where to go. It didn’t help that one elevator was broken and the other one seemed on the verge of a breakdown.
We stayed one night and had a good experience, we were very exhausted so we didn’t get to thoroughly enjoy our experience but the neighbors were quite or at least the walls were thick so we could sleep peacefully through the night. The staff is very nice and respectful.
My now fiancé chose this hotel to spend our what turned to be a very special occasion proposing to me. However, immediately after check in we were disappointed with how unprofessional the valet handled themselves. Following check in, we proceeded to the room where the garbage cans were not even emptied. After spending the evening out to dinner and the proposal we came back to the hotel to grab a cocktail at the hotel bar, to be asked to pay a “cover charge” at the bar. After doing so and proceeding the bar, we found that there were a lot of guests in the bar that were not paying to stay at this hotel; it was the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had and I’m a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member. The bartender was so drunk she was unable to count me back my change for two beers, it took 20 minutes to receive said two beers and the crowd was extremely ghetto for lack of better words. It was extremely disappointing.
