InterContinental San Diego by IHG
The cool thing about InterContinental San Diego, an IHG Hotel, is its central location near popular attractions such as the USS Midway Museum and Maritime Museum of San Diego.
The bed was so soft and uneven that my husband and I would role into the center where there was a dip. Then on our morning of checkout I asked for a luggage cart. I was told to go down to the 1st floor Bell Hop station and they will follow you up to the room. No one was AT the bell hop station. After waiting for many minutes, a young man said he would assist getting our car but we would need go up to the 3rd floor and have front desk order it. We returned to the 3rd floor and asked the desk for cart and bell hop. We also told her we were preparing to check out. Unbeknownst to me, precisely at 11a.m.our key card is deactivated. So we stepped into the elevator and nothing worked for several minutes. Since NO ONE bothered to inform us that 11 a.m. is a hard cutoff we didn't know. The elevator doors closed and we were transported to the 4th floor. No one got in so I thought it was mechanical error. The doors closed and we were transported to floor 10. Again, no one was there so we stepped out to find help. We asked someone from housekeeping if they would help us get to floor 15 because our key was malfunctioning but she said no. I returned to the elevator doors trying our key again. .. But nothing. I picked up the hotel phone next to it, dialed front desk. Told her the problem. It was so frustrating. The communication is horrendous. We should have been told what to expect IF WE WERE A MINUTE PASSED 11 A.M. And lastly, we arrive to enjoy our brief holiday at the IHG and were informed at the valet, if we choose to self park it's $46 PER DAY or valet is $66 PER DAY. AGAIN, when making the reservation we should have been told that information. Such poor communication. Would not recommend this place.
