Stranded in Newark--We missed our connection in Newark and were able to make a reservation at the Doubletree around midnight. The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. Since our flight the next night was at 10:50 we asked for a late checkout. Unfortunately the hotel was completely booked for the next night so we had to check out at 11. It was after we had checked that the hotel really shone. We were allowed to hang out in the lobby and store our carryon bags in the storage room. The whole team made sure that we were able to get the airport shuttle in the evening. These are the kinds of actions that don’t cost the hotel anything, but build good customer satisfaction.
Went to Bethlehem PA for business. Pleased to find another great Hyatt with world comfort even in a small city. Staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Made me feel I was important to them. I noted the commitment to diversity and staff training. It showed! I’ll return!
