Miserable nights, because A/C would not cool the room.
We had a good stay at the Hilton downtown Lexington Ky. The bar was wonderful and service great. Room was good and clean but had a loud water dripping sound. The breakfast was not good. We ordered the avocado toast and the toast just had unripe avocado on the toast and the protein bowl wasn’t good either. The last time I stayed there the breakfast bar was great.
I recently attended a DAR conference at the Lexington Downtown Hilton. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly in spite of the fact that the whole weekend had to be extremely busy with the KY High School Boys Basketball Sweet Sixteen tournament and our DAR Conference. But in my room, which was very cold (thermostat set at 62) my bathtowels felt not quite dry, the water for my toilet was turned off and although tea bags were furnished with the in room coffee maker, the plastic container for the bags and coffee reeked of old coffee. Trust me when I say that tea drinkers do not like their tea to have overtones of stale coffee! The meals were good and the waitstaff friendly BUT at more than one meal there were people that did not get served until others at their table were nearly finished because the number of meals prepared did not match up with the reservations that had been submitted. I expect Hilton to be better than all that.
Check in and check out were very easy. Staff was professional and thoughtful. Room was clean, immaculate. Food and drink (breakfast and supper) was tasty, with good portions. It was so cold that I did not want to go outside. I had a delightful time in the hotel.

I have stayed here previously and it never disappoints. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Restaurants on premises, staff is friendly and the food is always good.
