Outlined below are some of the green initiatives the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa is committed to: • ‘The Green Team’, an environmental committee made up of individuals representing each department in the hotel, pursues new ideas on ways to improve our efforts. • Our in-resort guest shuttle is a Hybrid vehicle. • By asking guests when they would like their linens changed, the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa saves over 12 million gallons of fresh water while reducing waste water and the use of chemicals and energy resources consumption by 5%. • All cleaning, dishwashing and laundry detergents replaced with eco-friendly products. • All of our toilets are economy flush units and our showerheads have economy fittings. • We use energy efficient bulbs and have installed sensor lighting in certain areas in our guestrooms. • All lighting, computers and other electrical equipment in the administrative departments are turned off at night. • For those driving green-friendly vehicles, the hotel offers the opportunity to recharge their transportation onsite. Hilton Whistler is home to the world’s first UL listed electric vehicle charging station, the ultimate evCharger CS-90, which provides the fastest charge times and highest power rating of 100A.
