I was very upset when I got ready to check in, they chared $167 for resort fee, they had told me free breakfast, they said no free breakfast, it said beach front, no beach, only water. I called the I the extra insurance I paid for as I was not told the truth. They said I could not get a refund. I had no choice but pay $167 resort fee and $125 deposit and no breakfast. I think I should of been told this before I paid the unrefundable room rate. The room was always cleaned everyday. The air conditioner di not keep the room cool even at 66 degrees. The pool was nice and the pool area was clean.
Pleasant staff. Housekeeping staff was very good. Front desk very pleasant.

Location, parking garage and resteraunt are all good. They charge a resort fee when you check out. I understand the place is at Clearwater Beach and last year they were hit by two hurricanes, however the hotel is under construction, there was furniture in the hallways, the one elevator (closest to our room) didn't work the entire time we were there. When I asked what the resort fee was for I was told it's for things like the "complementary " pool towels, coffee packs in your room things like that. You need to look up what complementary means. And by the way every two bit hotel in the country has those little coffee makers in the rooms. This old hotel is expensive to begin with but it's at the water (no beach) in Clearwater, so I understand that but I think until your completely renovated to charge full price and a resort fee is wrong.
