The Garden Inn Homestead offers amenities such as parking, an elevator, a pool, a spa, WiFi/internet, laundry facilities, non-smoking rooms, breakfast, air conditioning, a 24/7 front desk, a business center, and meeting rooms.
Tried the Hampton first, where we normally stay, no rooms available. Then the booking agent there said “Let me see if I can find something for you at one of our partner hotels” and proceeded to check. She came back with a room available at the “Garden Inn” for $330. Most people would think a “partner hotel” recommended by a Hilton owned hotel, would be another Hilton owned property and thus be the HILTON Garden Inn. This was not. This was a run down, dirtier, extremely basic hotel generically called the “Garden Inn” that shouldn’t have costed more than $100 $130/night for the pricing for the area. And even at that price, if I had seen it ahead of time, I would’ve definitely passed. We are not “wealthy”, but middle class and we were actually worried about our car being broken into while sleeping, if that tells you anything. My wife had also checked hotels.com right after we booked and found this same room at the same place for $220, which is still WAY overpriced. Definitely upset with the quality of this hotel, but more so the price charged for this and the “sham” of the Hampton agent recommending their “partner hotel” and the extra $110 the booking agent probably got for a referral. ***Do not fall for this sham and NEVER ask an agent at a hotel to find another room at a partner hotel for you. Do the work yourself or you will pay the price like we did. Extremely disappointed with BOTH Hotels.
I was pleasantly surprised! Clean towels and bathroom. Comfy bed neatly arranged! Fridge, microwave and nice bathroom sink. with good lighting! Plus, an I Hop next door. Close to Everglades National Park and straight path to Keys. Extremely reasonably priced. Quiet and peaceful! I would stay here again!
