Our flight to NY was diverted to Norfolk overnight. We got the last room at this hotel and the staff couldn’t have made us feel more welcome during this unexpected stop. Asia at the front desk got us a shuttle from the airport and was so kind to our autistic son. She was barraged with last minute reservations and handled them all with grace. She got us toothpaste and toothbrushes since we didn’t have any. She is to be commended. Our shuttle driver to the hotel Norman was wonderful and engaging and made a stressful night funny. Tia the shuttle driver in the morning was wonderful as well and her knowledge of NY Sports is next to none. The young man with the beautiful smile overlooking the breakfast was so proud and friendly. I’m so happy we had this diversion to meet these wonderful people. They all deserve a raise. They made a stressful night turn out to be acts of kindness!

Clean rooms! Cozy beds and comfy pillows. Rooms are accommodated with mini fridges, microwaves, spacious desk area and closet space with a full length mirror door. Only oddity was the adjoining room doors which blocked the entry doors when fully opened. Large common area in the lobby with full breakfast buffet! Loaded snack and beverage options, charge to your room or pay at the counter. Indoor pool with no shortage of pool towels. Staff were friendly and helpful!
