If you’re okay with paying $150 for a very small room in an area with a heavy homeless presence, then this might be the spot for you. Just a heads up — the booking is non refundable, so if you arrive and it’s not what you expected, you’re out of luck. Our room had some positives — the TV was large and could swivel, which was convenient. However, the shower wasn’t clean and the mini fridge didn’t keep things very cold. I usually have great experiences with Hyatt properties, which made this stay especially disappointing. I didn’t feel comfortable letting my child move freely around the room, worried there might be something on the floor that was overlooked during cleaning.
What a gem of a hotel! While the building shows its history, the clean rooms and outstanding service more than make up for it. The breakfast spread hits all the right notes and the front desk team—especially Jessie—goes above and beyond for every guest. Sure, the neighborhood's a bit mixed, but with their security in place, you can rest easy and enjoy your stay!
