Not many hotels offer a tranquil restful environment and ordinarily it is difficult for me to sleep. However, at Landmark this for me was not the case Very comfortable stay for us.
BLUF.. The location was perfect for visiting my son and his family. The condition of the facility at this price point would deter me from coming back again. I only interfaced with one staff member. She was friendly, courteous and quickly resolved my major complaint. The overall facility is showing its age. The usual damaged trim and flooring are are becoming more prominent. Breakfast consisted of cheap frozen food you had to microwave yourself, bulk cereal, a few bottom dollar pastries and the obligatory waffle maker. two of the three ice makers were out of order. The first room I was in was clean. The A/C worked but sounded like a tractor when ran. So loud that it made the room rattle and conversation was difficult. The bed was so worn out you could see the body impression under the covers. I was tired and decided to just tough it out. Night two I returned to my room around 9pm. Tried to tough it out because I was exhausted. By 9:30 I had called to request a new room. Front desk was quick to get me a new room right across the hall. The new room was in the same general condition as the first. However, The A/C worked as it should and the mattress was in much better shape.
