I have stayed at other Super 8 locations before, so my expectations were modest, but this one exceeded them. I arrived later than usual and the staff was very accommodating, upgrading my room from twin queens to a king and ensuring it was close to the parking lot for my disabled partner. We traveled from Hamilton to Thunder Bay with our dog and cat. The pet fee was reasonable and I noticed many other pet owners staying here, highlighting the hotel's welcoming attitude. Our pets are clean and we left the room in great condition. The breakfast offered the usual Super 8 options: waffles, French toast, cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit and boiled eggs. The bread choices were packaged and very fresh, the fruit was perfectly ripe and staff constantly restocked everything throughout the morning. This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had and certainly the best in Thunder Bay. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you're traveling with pets. I was thinking of just driving right through on my return home next week, but now I'm rethinking making a stop to get some rest at this great location.
