InterContinental the Clement Monterey by IHG

Overall this is the ideal place to stay. Our breakfast here was excellent and really good. The massage was great too. The gym was nice as well. The only drawback I can think of is the pool was closed for maintenance. Maintenance happens. To accommodate guests for the inconvenience, we were offered passes at the local sports club that has a pool. How great is that! I'd highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is beautiful, the valet service is excellent, the prices are reasonable and the food and hospitality are exceptional. Every staff member was welcoming, friendly and ready to help at a moment’s notice. This stay is definitely a five out of 5. Arturo Mundo, the bellman, was super helpful in carrying my belongings up and down to my room. He was so kind and genuine and was very helpful with all my stuff. I had a lot to carry, too. The cleaning staff kept my room clean and tidy every day, making it feel like home. Emily Granados was my waitress on my last day for breakfast and helped us choose some fantastic meals. I went with the Eggs Benedict and my girlfriend ordered a create your own omelet. For dessert, we got the milk and honey toast and it was seriously one of the best desserts I think I've ever had. We’ve had breakfast at other places, but the hotel breakfast was the best. Having Emily as our waitress allowed us to enjoy the best breakfast on our last day. Matt Bolton was the chef that day and did an incredible job on our food. It tasted amazing. Michelle Lee had the best pastries in all of Monterey Bay. They were incredible. As a professional surfer who travels the world and stays in many hotels, this has been one of my favorite hotel experiences so far. The location is perfect. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is just down the street. There are many boutique shops, cafes and great matcha and coffee spots to explore. There’s so much to do here and after spending three days in Monterey, I genuinely wish I could have stayed longer. This was a great way to start my 2026 year and I am already looking forward to returning. A special thank you to Matilyn Thompson, who was incredibly kind during check in and even wrote a handwritten guide to help my girlfriend and me explore the city. We were able to find beaches and sunset spots and make the most of our time. I also want to thank Matthew Baker and Sanil for helping with the booking and accommodations. They made me feel right at home during my three day stay in Monterey. The hotel is located on Cannery Row and is within walking distance to the Aquarium, Escape Room 831 and the arcade that my girlfriend and I visited. We had a fantastic time. If you're lucky, you might see some adorable sea otters in front of the hotel. This hotel exceeded my expectations. One of the best experiences we’ve ever had! The Staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was clean and every need was taken care of with attention to detail.
