We were traveling from Ft Lauderdale to Athens GA for our grandson’s wedding. We stopped to sleep in Kingsland GA. I made the selection of a Wyndham brand Microtel because I’ve stayed at a lovely Wyndham property in the past. Our experience was terrible. I knew that a roadside hotel would not be to par with the resort Wyndham property I had stayed in previously so I had low expectations for amenities, however cleanliness should be consistent in all properties. Not very clean and extremely shabby with unpleasant oder upon entering the room. The carpet was dirty. The old bathtub and shower were extremely uninviting. I was reluctant to shower. The dead bug in the corner of the bathtub did not enhance the experience. The card key entry did not work. We had to have it reprogrammed three times during our overnight stay. The T V didn’t work so I called the number provided for technical assistance. The connection to a call center took 20 minutes, they were nearly impossible to understand and did not help. I had to go down to the night manager to ask for assist. She got us connected, but the limited channels and no identification of channels made it a worthless effort. We would have left l, but were too tired from our day on the road. The only reason I gave any stars was the night manager was courteous, patient and tried to assist.
We were very pleased with the room the breakfast. The people at the desk were extremely nice. I would highly recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay at Microtel Inn. The breakfast, nachos and cookies were awesome and Michelle, at the front desk, was superb! The best customer service ever!

Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. The hotel is clean and safe. Michele at the service desk is very pleasant. I try to plan my stopovers when traveling back and forth from Florida to up north.
