The staff were all wonderful. The room was beautiful, but the beds we're not as nice as I expected them to be for the price that you pay they skimped on towels and washcloths you had to ask for more my biggest issue is the $45 per day fee for parking. I paid $90 and took my car out once because everything is in walking distance. Your other parking choices are not something that I would've considered acceptable. The breakfast was subpar. It wasn't as warm as it could've been. There wasn't a decent selection. Their waffle iron was sticky no matter what you did to it and their toaster you had to use three times to get your toast brown.

The hotel was having water issues, and our room was affected. The staff came up gave us new keys to a new room within 10 minutes.

Hampton Inn and Suites Portsmouth Downtown was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean, free hot breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful and the location couldn't have been better five minute walk to everything. Shout out to Tony who handled the breakfast and Nardo who helped with extra towels. Both were so friendly.
Top notch staff. Front desk people were awesome. Valet people were also awesome. Tony at the breakfast place was super! Would definitely recommend!
