Prospector Hotel and Casino

Clean well stocked room, comfortable bed, good food, really fun atmosphere very enjoyable experience would recommend to others.

From check in to the clean and comfortable room, to an amazing on site resturant to checkout we had a great experience during our stay and we will not stay anywhere else when traveling to Ely NV!

We spent two nights here one on our way to Yuma and one on our return trip. We really enjoyed both nights. Great restaurant and lounge. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you!

Prospectors is always the place for us to stay as we travel to Vegas. Love the quite, clean and well furnished rooms. The staff are very nice and explain things very well. Always ready for us when we arrive at the front desk. And the doggy rooms are perfect. Call them direct for the best rate and service.

We stayed two days a week apart. Clean, newer carpet, thermostat and quiet.

We have stayed overnight at the Prospector on numerous occasions. love the rooms setup for those with animals. Clean and Inviting plus plenty of bag posts to make it easy to keep the potty area clean!

Smoke from the Casino filled my non smoking room. Couldn’t get maids to clean my room, even with Maid sign on door. Service in restaurant was exceptionally slow! Even forgot to write down my order.

This is a terrific place to stay exceptionally clean and spacious rooms, polite and friendly staff and dog friendly space. It is a quirky and customer focused casino and hotel. The food at Margarita's Restaurant was an excellent and outstanding surprise. We can only say good things about the prospector.

Past stays have been good,not great. Smoke from the casino has been noticeable in the past, but not bad enough to keep us away. Somewhat more noticeable smoke odor this visit along with a sticky bath floor is going to cause us to change our future travel plans and look for new accomodations.

Nice rooms with a complimentary beverage. Enjoyed being able to bring our dogs everywhere including the casino. Nice dog area as well. Friendly staff as well.

I am so thankful the hotel has a good restaurant on the premises and glad it opens early in the morning for travelers that need to hit the road.

Rooms are large and very clean. Pet friendly rooms are very nice. Nice grassy area for pets as well. Mexican Restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Casino had good assortment of machines. Will definitely stay here again when we travel this way.

So we only stayed one night, with that being said.. Staff was welcoming, attentive and informative. everyone that I came in contact with smiled and seemed glad we were there. Hotel: lobby was cluttered with a lot of stuff, it was clean and really didn't smell to much like smoke ( you can smoke in casino) the front desk staff was friendly! I was assigned a 2nd floor room, NO ELEVATORS, So be prepared to walk up and down stairs with luggage. our room was very clean, warm and comfortable. Bed was clean and comfortable, no bugs or dirty stained sheet. I was very happy. The housekeeping staff was also very nice. Bar and Restaurant: Bar was great, our bartender was super nice and gave us good direction. They only thing that could use help with is the choice of wines. Sutter hills wine is cheap and tasteless. I wish the bar could have offered a better selection, there are a lot of wine drinkers theses days. Dinner was ok. Mexican food.. we split the fajitas, I was a bit confused with the mushrooms and lack of peppers and onions that you usually get with this dish. it was good food. All and all I would stay there again. I felt safe and respected and had a good night sleep.

Very nice hotel that we have been staying at for several years while we travel back and forth to Palm Springs. We like it very much but feel the price is becoming a bit much with the weak Canadian dollar. We may have to find something cheaper.
