Only negative thing is tvs are small and not many channels, other than that very nice.

Skylark Shores is my go to place in Lakeport and I generally like it very much. My one issue is the last three times I have stayed, the Internet has not worked. I always come up for business. I arrive late and I leave early, but an Internet connection is vital for my business. Each time the prevailing attitude at the front desk has been: 'Sucks for you. It does not work. There is nothing we can do about it.' This time before I checked in, I specifically asked if it was working and I was assured it was. It was not. I cannot spend excessive amounts of time getting something to work that I know will not. A better strategim would be to put up a sign at the front desk simply warning people the system does not work and there is nothing to be done. This would save a lot of confusion and disappointment. The other issue, is a minor one, but it was resolved. I called to see if rooms were available. It soon become obvious that I had been routed to a 3ed party vendor because the folks at the resort are always very nice. This man was not. I said I would be there in two hours. He insisted that there was only one room left and if I did not take it immediately, it would be gone, as there were 17 callers behind me. I thought this strange that the place would be booked full on a rainy Sunday night in bucolic Lakeport. I nonetheless believed him and gave him my credit card number. When I got to the Resort, the place was practicaily deserted and the clerk said there were plenty of rooms available. I had a good night, even without internet, but the next morning, I received an e mail receipt from a third party vendor charging almost double the amount I paid at the front desk. I called later and I spoke to the Resort directly and they said the amount I paid at the Resort was the amount billed, not the amount on the bogus receipt. So yes, I plan to stay again. I will bring my own connection and I will book the room directly with the Resort.

Place was clean and they let us check in early 👍.

The rooms are in decent condition, clean and of good size. We appreciated the convenient location close to the lake and restaurants, fridge, microwave and well functioning heater.
