Historic Cary House Hotel
The cool thing about Historic Cary House Hotel is its location in the heart of Placerville, steps away from Historic Main Street Placerville and Placerville City Hall.
Room was lovely. Lobby was awesome and elevator so much fun. Loved being close to a lot of interesting shops and coffee houses and don't forget Mel's Diner.
Wonderful stay, very satisfied, comfortable. Love 2nd floor with balcony overlooking Main Street. Special mention of Carley--she helped me find the perfect room and was absolutely amazing. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable. My stay here was a five star. Thank all the staff as well for wonderful service. I will return to stay with your hotel. Five star hotel and Five star for Carley. Thanks for a beautiful stay on a very special weekend for me.
The room was neat, clean and andthe bed was comfortable. The terrace was a wonderful surprise. The customer service was exceptional. We arrived by e bike and thought we would have recharge in our room but they put our bikes in a conference room so we could charge both at the same time and stay in a secured area. They even gave us ice for the road. I would highly recommend it.
My sister and I stayed for a couple of days. The woman (I wish I could remember her name) was extremely nice and helpful. The room was very clean. The linens were nice. Some minor quibbles. There were no bedside lamps and the kichen (yes, there was a small kitchen and sitting area, had a drippy faucet. If you plan to stay, bring everything you'll need. There are no plates, utensils, etc. The kind front desk clerka found us a couple of plates, a skillet, forks and napkins. Again, she was terrific. I would stay again.
We have morning coffee and tea service. All rooms have coffee makers in them as well.

Wonderful and clean hotel.
My room could have been cleaner. The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. The furniture was worn and in need of polish. No tissue was supplied and the phone did not work. The location was the reason I stayed here. Next time I will stay in a different location and drive into town.
My daughter raved about how comfortable the bed was. They really enjoyed their stay.
