It was a busy weekend in Norman and I booked La Quinta on line even though I had never stayed at one and was pleasantly surprised!
Upon arrival rude staff, Valerie, no information about green initiative or other policies. Yelled to “get that dog out of here” when dog was standing quietly while we spoke to another guest. Never saw manager, June, no business cards available when asked. Housekeeping staff very friendly and efficient. Other LaQuinta hotels are so much better. Good luck in the future.
When I was checking in I asked the front desk person three times what our total price for our room would be because we had seen something on the website that there was an approximate $44.00 service fee as part of that charge. I was told three times the cost for our stay would be $76.00. When I reviewed my charge it was over $126.00 which I now assume to have included the over $44.00 service fee. When I had asked for a receipt at check out I was given a sheet that simply said I owed $.00. As we were in a hurry to leave I didn't notice this receipt until we had driven away. I still do not have any receipt showing how my stated cost of $76.00 became over $126.00 in my account. If there are service fees they should noted up front and should be detailed not simply shown as a lump sum. Beware this feels like a scam to me.
Room was nice.
Our room was very nice and very clean. My husband said that there was a lot of noise in the hall until midnight. I was out like a light with earplugs in so I didn’t hear it.
