We had dinner in the hotel and received very good service from the Spanish waiters.
Marriot Newark has long been a favorite of ours. This time my flights were constantly delayed throughout two full days. The airline gave me a voucher for a hotel but in my phone call with my husband regarding my progress trying to get to my destination, my husband said he would rather book Marriot for me to at least spend the night and have a calm nice evening.
Sub par Marriott property. Bed was old and super soft from the topper they put on it, pillows old and paper thin, bath door hit toilet, shower door leaks water and bath floor becomes like ice. Couch was dirty. Not recommended.
way too expensive room with no buffet breakfast or even free coffee included.

There was a hole in the carpet right in the middle of the room. Really shabby. Just shocked that happens at a Marriott. Also the design of the showers is ridiculous.

Very poor. Very rude staff. Room horrible with very loud heating system. Could sleep for one minutes. Toilet didn’t flush. No one answers the phone at front desk.
I needed a last second place to stay, so it is what is, wouldn't do it again.
