We had stayed at this American Inn at Okoboji before. It was great. When I called to make the third reservation, I had NO idea I was using a third party. When I asked this person, they said yes, Okoboji. She could NOT understand the question. Yes, the place was Okoboji I wanted to stay, BUT she was not making the reservation from the Okoboji resort. She misunderstood the question because of her understanding of the English language. I thought it was strange that she said she was in Okoboji. When I got to the resort, they were not very receptive to my questions. I asked how points work and how do I get them, they said they could not help me. I asked for a receipt; they said I had to get it from my third party. What a confusing mess. The new employee kept looking at the head lady for answers. Neither were helpful. I finally got answers from the morning shift. I was just in shock that I got put off on answers. Thank you for reading this.
We had 7 rooms, and 13 family members stay Heather treated us very well enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was great.

Your staff were very friendly and helpful but I was very concerned and disappointed in how wasteful the hotel is overall. There are so many things in one time use plastic containers at the breakfast and in the rooms.
