Earlier this week Peterborough experienced a ice storm with power outages all over the city and adjacent areas. This stay was a last minute decision to get out of a cold home. I reserved my room online with the Quality Inn after Comfort Inn was overbooked. The person at the front desk was very calm and efficient, even with the line up out the door of people trying to find places to stay with their families and pets. The room was clean and all supplies needed were in the room. The mattress was a bit older and the desk chair was scuffed up, but other then that the room was comfortable and clean. The free breakfast the next morning was appreciated and was decent. There was only one person dealing with a full hotel so she was doing her best. No one was fully prepared for the extent of the storm and I was quite happy to have a warm room and breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel for any stay. The people were friendly and helpful.
The Quality Inn is similar to a motel rather than a hotel. The staff are nice, but the entire place reeks of cigarettes. The scent is really strong so unless you don't mind that scent, be mindful of it booking here.
