Our reservation was not known upon arrival so we had to take a different room that was not the same as we paid for. Bathroom was unsightly due to poor construction cleanup and what appeared to be dirty. The bed slept well and the waffles were excellent! We had a clock that didn’t work but the staff replaced it properly. Due to health reasons we had to cancel the second night of the reservation and we were promised a refund but have seen nothing so far….
We stayed here recently on our way home from FL. We were looking for a place to stop before we got into the craziness of the ATL area and this was the only place that had a room. It was further off the highway than I would have wanted (8 miles) but it had a king bed and that's all we cared about. The manager was pleasant and checking in was easy. My only quibble with the room was that the flooring was uneven and coming up in some spots and the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. Fun fact: this town is where they shot Stranger Things. The downtown doubled for Hawkins, so that was pretty cool.
The man who received us was very pleasant. Our room was clean and the refrigerator cool enough to keep our food from spoiling. We took a walk for about an hour and returned after dark to discover we'd both left keys in the room. A different gentleman was at the desk, but the first man heard our problem and came out to rescue us. The breakfast area is a bit small and somewhat limited in offerings, but adequate nutritionally. The entire town is quaint and charming and we would be glad to stay there again.
Staff were great, rooms were very clean. Very good location to downtown.
