We were staying at your property for my daughter’s wedding and was with my 87 year old mother…. I made the reservations three to four weeks in advance for both rooms and specifically requested rooms on the same floor either next to or across the hall from each other since it had been so long since my mom had been alone in a hotel. Upon getting there, we were informed that one room would be on the third floor and one room would be on the first floor and even though it was after the three o’clock check in time only one room was available and the other was not yet ready. After saying that I called the front desk to make the reservation I was informed and was argued with by the front desk clerk about what number I called to make the reservation as I called the number on the website, an 800 number..thinking it was the front desk and it was a third party site to make the reservation, which I was then charged an extra $53 per room for some cancellation policy that I did not need And was not made aware of along with being overcharged for the room after speaking to many people from the wedding that stayed in the same hotel. Other wedding attendees were charged hundreds less for the duration of their stay even though I had asked about AAA and government discount. The front desk attendant made no attempt at all to address my situation of room location and continued to argue with me about what number I called telling me that I used a third party to make the reservation and that I had not called the front desk instead of trying to assist me with the problem I had with room location. It was very stressful on my mother and myself and I was very unhappy with the lack of any empathy or solutions from the desk attendant for my problem. After finally getting into the first room, it was very smelly and incense was burning to try and cover the odor of the person before us which only worked for the first night The curtain covering the window had several streaks of what I am assuming, was lipstick smeared on them and needed to be washed. After coming back from the wedding day and trying to take a shower, the drain was plugged enough to where the water came up over the top of my ankles while I was showering, which was very disgusting…. For the 1200+ dollars that I spent for two nights for two rooms I am unable and unwilling to recommend your hotel to any of my friends or relatives after the lack of service I received and the overcharged price for the rooms. I am very disappointed and will try and stay away from your hotel chain in the future.
